New Assessment & Accreditation System – what are your views?

Dear Social Workers,

The Government wants to introduce a new National Assessment and Accreditation System for social workers. Initially this will just affect children and family social workers, but eventually all social workers will have to pass the assessment in order to continue to carry out statutory children’s social work. You can read more about their proposal here.

We're going to respond to the Government's consultation, and we want to make sure our response reflects your views. Could you let us know what you think of the plans by filling in this quick survey?

If you didn't take part in developing the new National Assessment and Accreditation System then we know that some of this might seem a little confusing. But we still want you to have your say, so we've worked hard to make sure the questions are easy to understand and answer. But, if you've got any questions please email me at m.egan@unison.co.uk

The closing date for the survey is Saturday 4 March, and we'll let you know what our response to the consultation is going to be a few weeks later.

Thanks a lot

Matt at UNISON
