International Transgender Day of Visibility - The Danish Girl Screening

International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual holiday occurring on March 31 to celebrate transgender people and raise awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide.

To mark International Transgender Day of Visibility there will be a free screening of:

The Danish Girl

at The University of Southampton, Highfield

Thursday 31 March at 17.30 (running time approx. 2 hours)

Starring Alicia Vikander and Eddie Redmayne, this touching film is inspired by the story of Lili Elbe, a Danish artist who was one of the first people to undergo gender confirmation surgery.
